   I got this story from my brother Kevin (age 17 yrs) who got it from our uncle:-

   One day about eighty years ago, two men who were fairly old at that time, went for a walk through the bog. Their names were John Cardiff and Michael Byrne. When they were going for a walk their idea was to pick some bog-berries, because they were their favourite fruit. They had to walk a long distance in from the edge of the bog, and when they reached the place where the berries were, they discovered they had walked from Hawkfield to Clongorey bog.
