    The nurse said that while she was drowning a cat the child was taken. But as she was going towards the river very quickly with a bag, and throwing it over the bridge. The people thought it was the child she had, the bag could not be found as the river was very high, and snow one the ground for three weeks.

  2. Long, long ago, there lived in Lauragh a man. He got sick, and he send one of his friend's for the priest. On the way coming they heard a lovely song singing called the Dawning of the Day. The priest told the man to look over his right shoulder that he would see a hound, and he looked and saw it. He told him to look over his left shoulder and that he would see people as plentiful as the blades of grass, and that they were falling angles. The priest
