    There are not as many poets now as there used to be. Long ago people had to get money before they would make a song. John Murphy of Killeevan can make songs. He made a song about the Killeevan Football team.
    The song about John Flanagan and Joe Fie was made by Thomas Mac Quaid.
    The song about Lough Oona was made by John Murray Kerr as a lament for his brother.
    The song about Killeevan Graveyard was made by James Mullen of Drumully.
    John Murray of Boughill made a song about the lark.
