  1. You feeling hearted Christians
    Come listen unto me
    Till I relate the awful fate that overcame Joe Fee.
    He paid his last dread penalty
    No words were of avail.
    He was hanged upon the scaffold high
    That day in Armagh gaol.
    The murder was a cruel one
    No worse from time began
    The victim was an honest man
    His name it was John Flanagan
    He came to Clones market with eggs to buy and sell.
    Upon a Thursday morning the truth to you I'll tell.
    He changed a cheque that morning of £80 and more,
    It was known that he had money as he oftimes had before
    But when the market did commence
    Between one and two oclock
    Fee walked up to Flanagan saying
    I have that for you now
    The both walked off together
    To Fee's house they did go
