  1. In this district Friday is considered the luckiest day in the week. When people move into a new house they usually fit on Friday. It is the genral belief that work started on a Saturday is never finished.
Few people would attempt to start work of any importance on the last day of the week whether it is, that they do not wish to mess up the house for Sunday or that it is superstition I know not, but the fact remains, that Saturday is considered unlucky for undertaking new work of any kind.
