  1. In the year 1890 there lived a man named Dennis Collians. He was a great thatcher. He lived near Keady, County Armagh. He thatched the roofs of the dwelling houses and office houses in the district about once a year. People thought it very unlucky to burn their hair when they got it cut so they would put it up under the thatch every time they got it cut.
