  1. Chilblains.
A horse shoe put into the fire until it is red hot and then put into potato water is good for chillblains. To paint your hands with iodine is good for chillblains too. Washing hands with chilblains in salty water is good for them too. The juice of raw onions rubbed on chilblains helps to put them away. People say that those who have chillblains on their feet should walk barefooted in the first snow that comes in Winter Olive oil and metholated spirits keep chillblains from breaking and ease the pain.
    Colic.
To stand on ones head is a good remedy for the colic or to go down the stairs on ones hands is good for it too. A hot brand poultice is goodfor it too. A drink of hot brandy or whiskey is good for curing it too.
