    During the famine a lot of people died of starvation in my district of Castledargon. The only thing the people had to eat was grass and cabbage boiled on water without bacon. This killed more than it gave relief to. They had no clothes to wear only meal bags and a string around them to keep up the bags. The people were evicted out of their houses and died on the roadway and under the hedges.
    The people never heard of Cromwell visiting my district of Castledargon. They never heard of how he died or where he was killed.

  2. In the year 46 the famine occured in my district of Castledargan. In that year all the crops failed and the people were starving of hunger. They were almost double the population that time than now. The people in '48 not alone died in their own homes but in the
