There was a black-board and two maps. The pupils had to bring two sods of turf every morning to keep the fire going during the day.
There was no rooms the school was all one apartment.

There is but one Holy Well in my parish. That well is situated in a field owned by Peter Gillooley and it is in the townland of Tubarbridge, parish of Balisodare and County of Sligo. It is called St. Brigid's well and it is in a tree in the centre of the field. People do not visit that well now but in years gone by the field used to be packed with people. They used to perform rounds and say certain prayers but I do not know them.
The well is not very big but to the present day there are small little statues and other small relics beside it. The people used to visit it on Saint Brigid's day. Long ago invalids used to drink the well water. The visiting
