  1. I was digging potatoes in Maharees by a man named John Flynn. There was another fellow with me by the name of Tom ODonnell.
    We were out rambling together myself and my comrade man.
    When we came in the man of the told me to rake the fire. I knew nothing about raking the fire becase I never did it and I asked him how and he told me to cover it with red cinders and and ashes.
    I did as he told me. Very soon afterwards we went to bed and about twelve o'clock we were not long asleep when I heard talking in the kitchen and it appeared to me there were four people in the kitchen two women and two men
