  1. William Reilly's of Drumshanbo was always a great "caleying" house for the young peope. It was a Hallow Eve night and there were a big crowd of young people in the house and they were playing tricks. There was one trick and they used to go to the "mearn" of the three townlands. There was three girls in William Reillys that night and they said they'd go to the "mearn" of the 3 townsland. The mearn was about 1/4 of a mile away eg the mearn between Drumshanbo, Aughnaglace and Keeldnabeg. There was a lad in Reilly's the same night. E.g. Terrie McKiernan of Drumshanbo. Terrie was a great trixter and used to be always playing tricks on people. So when he heard where the lassies were going he went up to the room and he
