circular in shape and is surrounded by an earthen ditch which is thickly covered with trees and bushes - mostly black thorn. It is in good repair and has only one small opening. In the centre of the fort is a raised mound of earth with stones all round. On top of this mound of earth there is a large tree growing. It is supposed that somebody was buried in this fort long ago. There are many stories told in connection with this fort as it is supposed to be the abode of the 'good people'. When some people pass forts they make the sign of the cross and say "God bless the fort and all that's in it".
