  1. 1. In Kiltomey is a mass stone where mass used to be offered in the dark penal days, the people have strange beliefs concerning this stone - one belief which most of the people hold is that Mass is celebrated there, every morning at about twelve o.c. especially on Sunday mornings, it is supposed to be said by an unseen priest who is dead. A certain man who worked on Sundays used to be forced by some supernatural power to go to the graveyard and kneel in prayer near the "Mass Stone" for some time.
