a hundred years ago is buried. Around this grave is a railing but it is almost knocked down now. A certain man by the name of "Shane Burns" once supposed to be the strongest man in Munster is also buried in Dysert.
There are some very old tombs in the graveyard and only one new one erected in 1935 by James Byrnes of Ballyreghan. There are several Protestants buried there besides Catholics. One tombstone was erected there by a protestant by the name of Mago? James Murray Home in memory of his wife Mary Elizabeth who died at Gortinard Listowel on the 8th of Feb, 1869.
Another tomb was erected bu George Hewson - a protestant gentleman who resided at Ennismore Listowel.
