  1. The priest and the fisherman.
Once upon a time there lived in thbe district of Clifden a fisherman. one day he caught some baits and he went down fishing. On his way down he met the priest, and the priest asked him where he was going. I caught some baits he said and I going to try them. "Were you at first mass" said the priest, "No said the man" but I am going to second mass. The priest walked away, and the man went fishing. When he was a while fishing he saw scores of fish coming in, and he was so delighted that he forgot about mass. He had a bog with him and when he had it full of fish he got ready for home.
