  1. One time there lived in the district of Clifden a man. One day has he was going up a little near Creg, he saw a black thorn tree and he he was breaking a bit of it when a thorn went in his hand and hedied in two days time. Then a man went cutting it and a voice said " you are cutting me" and he left it alone but in a years time he died. Three men went to finish and it began to bleed. They left it a lone and no one went near it except an old cow who got a thorn in her footand it got poisoned and she died. There is
