- One day there was a big sailing boat coming in Clifden Bay. She had to anchor outside until the tide came in. For she had a very big load of cement in bags. While she was lying at anchor a storm arose and the tide was half in at the time so the captain lifted anchor and tried to steer her in to the harbour but when she was half-way in she got stuck in the sandbank and the crew had to throw all the cement out in the sea.
After about two hours hard work they got the ship afloat but all her cargo had to(continues on next page)- Collector
