children were in bed. There was an oil stove lighter in the van and some how the unfortunate mother tripped and upset the stove. The van was a mass of fire in a few seconds. Before the children could be rescued they were almost burnt to death. The father and mother were burnt also trying to save the children. The children died and were buried in the new cemetery here. After some time the parents recovered from their burns. It was the saddest tragedy that has occurred in this district for many years.
