Every district in Ireland has its own little prayers taught to the children at home by their parents or grandparents before they come to school some of those prayers are in Irish and have come down from our ancestors and are very valuable.

Now I will tell a couple of prayers which I was taught before I came to school. (Heare) Here is a little prayer which can be said morning and night.
"Take my body Jesus,
Eyes and ears and tongue,
Never let them Jesus,
Help to do thee wrong".
Here is another prayer which can be said morning and night for a happy death.
"O Merciful Jesus have mercy on me
My heart and my soul I resign unto thee
Five bleeding wounds thou suffered
Crucified Jesus have mercy on me".
