  1. Our horse and Mare were trained with a halter put around their necks and galloped around in a ring many times. There was a rope put each side of them, and chains tied to their feet afraid they would lash, and they were put on the public road and made to pass lorries, cars and busses with out shying or kicking.

  2. There was a very wild horse in Church Village in Kilcummin, Lacken. He could never be trained and he would never obey his master. This master's name was Patsy Jimblin, so this day he put him to the cart, and walked him to Ballina, he was very quiet so he said "I will not walk it home. So he did not shy or kick until he came to Temple Mary.
