So he went in, and when he did, he didn't see the dog atall. He asked the man where the big dog was, and he said there was no dog atall.
The man said to the people of the house that he looked in through the window, and that he seen a big black dog runing from his wife to himself and back and forward.
Then he told them what brought him so late, and he said he could get them and welcome.
So they came to the conclusion that it was the devil that was in it.
So the rich man went down to the stable, and filled the bag for the poor man, and told him never to be hungry(continues on next page)
