The Fox: The Fox is a very cute animal. He kills hens, ducks, and geese. He (lives on) is never seen coming around a farmer's house in the day time. He generally comes in the night. If he thinks there is a dog in a house he will not come there. When he thinks he is caught he lies down a pretends he is dead. When he gets his chance is off like the wind. It is said that a foxes' tongue is well persevered it will take a thorn out of a person's finger. It is an old and true saying "As cute (wise) as the fox."
