    meet a man on the road riding on a white horse, and to ask him for the cure, and whatever he tells you to get, it will be the cure.
    Measles
    Measles is cured by boiling nettles in milk and drinking the juice.
    Foul Mouth.
    A child that is born after its father dies has a cure for a foul moth.
    Scurvy.
    A cure for Scurvy is to scrape the sore until the blood comes out, and then to wash it well with Carbolic soap.
    Wild Fire.
    Wild Fire is cured by painting it with ink.
    Toothacke.
    When a person has toothacke the cure is to put a small drop of Iodine on a piece of cotton, and put it down in the tooth.
    Colds.
    The cure the old people have for colds is to heat butter milk and sugar every night, and drink it when they are going to bed. Another cure is to drink whiskey and hot water.
