There was a great deal wood to be found to be found there long ago. The people lifted it and made firewood out of it.
Cnocán na Gloch.
It means the hill of the stones. There are a great deal of stones there yet.
Sráth Dhubh.
It means the black field. It is of black moody nature.
Gárrdha Mhúirle.
It got that name because long ago there was a man there and he had a small little garden. Gárrdha Múirle means Weiar's garden.
The Sráth
It got that name because there are a great deal of rushes to be found there. It also means a soft place.
Gaineamh.
It got that name because there was a great deal of sand to be got there.
Diubhaidh[?]
It got that name because it is a small green field and there is a fort in the middle of it. There is a path about a mile long underneath in this fort leading into another fort that is on Rathamusk. It is(continues on next page)- Collector
