    of it. They they used to trim them with lace, which cost three half pence a yard.
    The men used to wear knee breeches and swallow tail coats and hard hats. The boys used to wear petticoats and shirts until they used to be getting married or going to England. The shirts they wore were made from flax grown by themselves. They used not to wear any shoes until they were about eighteen years of age. The kind of caps they wore were two peaked ones.
