    suits or coats out of the cloth. The implements the tailor used were a scissors, needles, irons, and thread.
    Flannel shirts were then made in the homes. The people used to knit their own socks and stockings themselves. The women used to wear paisley shawls about a hundred years ago. The price of them was from ten shillings to fifty shillings. Mrs. Morley told me the last time she saw a paisley shawl was about twenty years ago. They woman who wore it was Mrs. Devine of Curryane Swinford. Before the paisley shawls the people used to wear blue cloaks and white caps. The price of the blue cloaks was about from three pounds to five pounds, and the white caps were about five shillings.
    The girls used to wear head shawls and hoops in their dresses. They used to wear white caps and dresses to the mouth of their shoes, getting married. The white caps were made in the homes. They used to buy the cloth in Swinford and make caps out
