    "There was once a poor widow and she had an only son. Before his father died he sowed an oak tree in the garden outside the house. When his father was dying he called his son to his bed side and said to him. "I hope you will be able to pull that tree before you die."
    The mother heard what was said. So she fed him well for seven years. At the end of that time she brought him out to pull the tree but he failed. She nursed him for seven years more. At the end of the seven years he could not pull the tree. So she said to him: "if you are not able to
