    When Sexton bould arose and tould King Harman he should go
    Because the pass he basely sould,
    then we sthruck the blow
    From Riverstown to Ardinaree we scattered them like straws
    Twas necessary do'nt you see, to smash them for the cause.

    When base and bloody Balfour, he in hopes that I'd give in
    Unreasonably imprisoned me, I didn't care a pin.
    Nor sorra hair, me boys I care, they never framed a clause
    Nor yet an act that could me scare from standing for the cause

    We're winning all along the line that cannot be denied,
    Then let us, one and all combine with courage faith and pride
    And press the fight, tis almost won, we'll soon have native laws.
