  2. One night a young man was going to a dance in Ballycumber & he was going through Rathcot for a short cut when he heard the lovliest of music & singing in the rath which was all lit up. He saw a girl there that had been taken by the fairies & he went in & danced with her & had a great time. The fairies came to him with grapes and all kinds of fruit & eatables & wanted him to take them but she told him not to eat anything or he would be kept. She told him to go away & not to look back until he had crossed the
