    Fairs 3-4-'38

    Fairs are very often in Ennis.When a farmer is going to sell his cattle he goes to Ennis, or to Gort ,or to Tulla.These are the nearest places to them.
    In Ennis there is a field for the fair called the fair called the fair green.It is a square field with a gate on each side and the men standing on each side.When the cattle are sold the owner has to give sixpence.
