    When the stalks are fairly strong they are landed with a landing plough ,or if he has no such plough ,he makes a timber board and fits it on the plough.
    Next he sprays the stalks to help to keep away the blight .He does the work with a spraying machine which is made in France out of copper.Some people spray twice or three times.
