    When in the stable they are not tied they have loose boxes, when they go to drink we say "gee up"; and they are wise enough to come back from their drink themselves for they watch their oats, we have a good number of pigs and two goats, we get out horses clipped once every year and always keep good shoes on them.
    Sometimes an old shoe is nailed on the stable door for good luck.

  2. The churns they used in olden times were of oak, and the hoops were made of ash, the man who made these churns was called a cooper, these churns were about two feet wide at the head and bottom, there was also a lid used with a hole for the dash to go up and down.
