- People in former times did not wear boots sooner than six or seven years of age. Now a-days they wear them when two years old. In some parts of Central-Africa the inhabitants wear no boots as they climate is very warm.
At the present time in Eire, children go bare-footed in summer and wear boots in the winter. When we are preparing water for to wash our feet we make it luke warm and put some soap into it also. Boots are repaired by some tradesmen but in our district we send them to the towns to be mended.(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
