- Long ago, out at the Annah Bog, there lived a woman called "Peggy Tam". She lived in a shebeen or a house where poteen is made. She used not keep much poteen in the house but she was afraid the police would get it so she put it in a jar in the bog and tied a string round it. She fastened the string to a peg at the bottom of the garden. In a few years she had acquired a good store of money so she did the same with the money as she had done with the poteen. But whether the jar rusted or not the money was not there when the woman went to look for it. Later on people used always to look for the money, and some were successful in finding it.
