  1. The species of birds seen around here are. The robin, the sparrow, the wren, the crow, the blackbird, the thrush, the jackdaw, the finch, the goldfinch, the bullfinch, and the pigeon. The swallows, the cuckoos, and the corncrakes go to the foreign countries for the Winter. Each bird has a nest of it's own. Some birds build their nest's on trees and fences and others make theirs on houses. The swallow builds her nest in houses and in old teapots and shoes. The crow starts to make her nest on the 1st March. Robbing nest's is not right. If you took out the eggs the bird of the nest would know it. When you are looking at the nest you should not blow your breath at all. The bird of the nest would shun it. It is a great harm to rob nests. You would commit a sin. Some boys have a great habit of robbing birds nests and killing the young ones. They would not like to be turned out of their own homes
