Ar an leathanach seo

  1. The Penal days were very hard on the people of Ireland. They could neither go to Mass send their children to school or to do anything they wished.
    The priests were still more tortured than the people. If they were seen saying Mass they would be shot or imprisoned, so they had to have secret places to say Mass.
    In my district Mass was said in the field in the townland of Ballyroberts and the field is now owned by Mr Cronin.
    By the side of the fence there is a big white stone that served as an alter. There is a path leading to the field and at that time it was called "The Blind path.
