  1. There was a man who lived in the town-land of Drumrane, James Galloghy was his name. He had a pledge allowing him one drink a day. He was asked over to a house to play on his flute. There was a dance in this house so he went to play. He drank a mug of porter in the house. When he was finished playing he took his flute and went home. He went across the fields, because it was a near way. When he was going across this field where there was a "trip" laid for him, he fell across the "trip" and was thrown across a river that was flowing through the field.
Someone picked him up when he fell on the other side of the river. He looked around the field and saw nobody. When he went down to the railway line that went by the end of the field he heard on laughing. He then missed his flute and went back to the river for it; when he got his flute he heard an other laugh.
