    called the "hauling home".
    Now a days they go in motorcars to the church and when they come hom they have their breakfast and they go for a drive. There is usually a dance that night and many friends are invited. The car is decorated with ribbons and there may be an old shoe or slipper tied to it also.
    Most people round here get married on a Wednesday as it is considered the most lucky day of all. They also get married before Lent or Advent or on Shrove Tuesday.
