  2. Dan Bradley, Meenagrogeen, (Mín-a-Gróigín) Kilmacrane, Banteer, was once fencing a ditch near a fort in Kiskeam, Co. Cork. As he was digging a sod his shovel went through a heap of sovereigns He was afraid to touch the gold so he went back to acquaint his master. On his return to the spot he found his shovel stuck in the place where he had left it but all the sovereigns had disappeared.
