    Flail to thresh Hay, not now used in this district,
    A & B CAUBEEN made of leather, often goatskin and sown on to both Bolchan and Hand-staff with a wax-end, by means of tracks marked on each
    C was MIDILIN made of flax or eelskin which securely tied A & B together. Later on, strong calico was used here.

    Bolchan - made of hazel or blackthorn
    Caubeen -
    Hand-staff - preferably made of "Sally".
