say that a good deal of people went to America because they could not pay their rent and the landlord put them out of their houses, but some of them went with their own free will. An old man said that there was a landlord called lord Rossmore and he was very bad and there was an old woman called Brigid Muray. She could not pay her rent because she was poor. He put her out on the roadside and seeing nothing before her but starvation, she lived with her friends until she died.
