  1. There was a big hunt about forty years ago between Aghabog & Threemilehouse. It started at Carnowen between Aghabog & Smithboro'. There were eight dogs on each side & a certain sum of money was to be paid to the winners. Aghabog won & were paid the money but Threemilehouse challenged them for the next day. Threemilehouse won the second day. There was a very big crowd both days. Pat Mc. Geough, Rooskey, Newbliss was in charge of the Aghabog hounds & Tom Sherry in charge of the Threemilehouse hounds. The spite & spleen resulting from it is kept up till the present day. There was a song made about it.
