The roost was a bad one and the hens were blown over a half a mile from where they were until they were knocked down against the end of an old house.
- In the year one thousand nine hundred and one there was a great storm which killed a great number of cattle and horses. People also lost their lives. In this parish a man went out to feed his cattle. He was blown down off the rick and killed. His wife was inside with her little(continues on next page)
