Proverbs A proverb is the wisdom of many and the wit of one.
Early to bed and early to rise makes a man healthy, wealthy and wise
Late to bed and late to rise makes a man beg before he dies.
Better to wear out shoes than sheets.
Plough deep while sluggards sleep and you will have corn to sell and to keep
When the cuckoo sings on a bare thorn sell your cow and buy corn
March wind and April showers bring forth May flowers
A wet and a windy May fills the haggard with corn and hay
A dry May and drop in June makes the farmer whistle a heart tune
Make hay while the sun shines
A windy day is a bad day for thatching
Judge in June and you judge to soon but judge in July and you may either laugh or cry
The money makes the mare go and the hound makes the hare go
It is too late to lock the stable door when the steed is stolen
For want of a nail the shoe was lost for want(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)- Bailitheoir
