- The feet are protected by wearing boots and stockings. In olden times children did not wear boots as early as at present. At the present time the children go barefoot from the first of May to the end of August. When the children go barefoot they wash their feet every night before going to bed. The water used for washing the feet is thrown out. It is considered unlucky to keep the feet water in the house over night.
In olden times there were a great number of shoe-makers in the district. At the present time there is only one shoe-maker in the district and he does not work constantly at the trade.
