There are quite a number of toys to make, such as, a telephone.
To make a telephone you get two cocoa tins, and make a hole in the bottom of each tin. Then get a piece of cord, and put it through the holes putting a knot on each end, so that the cord won't come out. Then someone can go into another room, and talk through the tins. When speaking through the tins the voice seems much louder than it is.
Another toy which can be made at home is a lantern.
