1. The Local Fairs

   The locals fairs are held in Ballyjamesduff, but sometimes the cattle are sold before they reach the fair, because there are always buyers on the roads, and sometimes they are bought at home.

   When an animal is sold money is given to the buyer for luck, it is called a "Luck Penny". When the bargain is made they hit each other's hands to seal the bargain.
   When the animal is sold, the buyer marks it with
