    When the sun rises red it is a sign of bad weather, and when it sets red it denotes fine weather.
    When streamers come from the sun it indicates rain.

    When there is a circle round the moon a storm will follow. The farther the circle from the moon the nearer the storm, the nearer the circle the farther the storm.
    When the moon is on its back it denotes rain
    When the moon is sharp it is a sign of rain
    The Stars
    When there are more stars in the sky than usual it will freeze that night.
    When the stars are running it indicates rain
    The Sky
    When there is a reddening on the sky in the morning bad weather may be expected, but a reddening at night denotes fine weather.
    Goat-hair on the sky is a sign of wind.
    When the Northern Lights are on the sky a spell of fine weather will follow.
    A mackerel sky is a sign of bad weather.
