  1. There was once a holy well in Gillespies field near Hacketstown Bridge. To this well many people came with sores and diseases to be cured. They had to come to the well for as many days as they had sores. They had to wash the sores with the water and say certain prayers as they washed them

  2. There is a holy well in Rathdangan called Tubberowen and it cures retching. There is one in Crenerin and it cures headaches.
