    When Mr Whelan was brought to court for making rhymes about his neighbours, he was asked by the Magistrate "do you make rhymes". Whelan immediately answered "Yes my Lord by times
    One of the rhymes he was accused of making was about a lame man
    "Hippety hoppety cock of the town
    One leg up and one leg down"
